What do the term types mean?
Librari automatically assigns a term type to each contract based on how and when it is scheduled to end.
When Librari processes a contract, it automatically assigns a term type based on the information extracted from the document. Term type gives you a quick view of the lifecycle category of each agreement and helps you understand which contracts require active management and which will end automatically.
What are the different term types?
Fixed A contract with a defined end date that is currently in force. The agreement will end on a specific date unless renewed or extended.
Evergreen A contract that automatically renews at the end of each term until one party provides notice of termination within the required notice window.
Auto-Renew A contract that requires an opt-out notice to avoid automatic renewal for an additional term. Similar to Evergreen but typically with a more explicit notice requirement.
Indefinite A contract with no stated end date. The agreement continues until one or both parties take action to end it.
Pending Term A termination notice has been sent and a future termination date has been set. The contract is still active but scheduled to end.
Expired A contract whose end date has passed and that has not been renewed or extended.
Terminated A contract where termination is now effective. The agreement has been formally ended by one or both parties.
Undetermined Librari was unable to determine the term type with confidence. This typically occurs when key information is missing or unclear in the document.
How do I filter by term type?
You can filter your contract library by term type using Librari Lens, the advanced filter modal. Open Librari Lens from your contract library, select Term Type from the filter options, and choose the term type you want to view.
What if a contract has the wrong term type?
Term type is determined automatically based on the information extracted from the document. If a contract appears to have the wrong term type, check the key dates and contract language in the Detail View to confirm they were extracted correctly.
