How do I connect Librari to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini?

Librari connects to AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini through MCP (Model Context Protocol). Once connected, you can ask your AI assistant about your contracts in plain English and get answers drawn from your Librari library.
How do I connect Librari to my AI tool?
Follow the step-by-step guide for your tool at help.thelibrari.com/mcp. It covers Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, Claude Code, and any other MCP-compatible client. You can also open the guide from MCP API Keys in the left navigation of your Librari dashboard.
Is Librari available in Claude's connector directory?
Yes. Librari is listed in the Claude Connectors Directory. In Claude, go to Customize › Connectors, click +, and find Librari in the directory. Click Connect, then sign in to Librari and choose Allow access. You do not need to enter the server URL yourself.
What is the Librari server URL?
Use https://www.thelibrari.com/api/mcp when your AI tool asks for a server URL.
Do I need an API key?
No. For most tools, you connect with the server URL and sign in with your Librari account. No API key, Client ID, or Client Secret is needed. If your tool asks for a Client ID or Client Secret, leave those fields blank. API keys are only needed for manual MCP clients that cannot sign in on their own. You can generate and revoke them from MCP API Keys in your Librari dashboard.
What can my AI tool do with my contracts?
Your AI tool can search and retrieve your contract data, and archive or unarchive contracts. It cannot edit, delete, or move any files in your connected apps.
Will my AI tool see contracts I do not have access to?
No. The connection uses your own Librari account, so your AI tool can only see the contracts you already have permission to view in Librari.
What can I ask?
Try questions like "What contracts are expiring in the next 60 days?", "Find all agreements with Acme Corp.", or "Which contracts have an auto-renewal clause?"
